The Division's beta delayed but an alpha is coming Voice Herald

According to a Tech Times report, this piece of bad news however was accompanied by good news as Ubisoft also announced that they will be conducting a closed alpha for the Xbox One, where a select group of Xbox One owners will be able to play an alpha version of the game. With the alpha test, one will be able to gain access to both PvE as well as PvP modes, and this particular alpha test will cease to exist this coming Saturday, December 12. During the E3 event with Ubisoft on stage, the game company revealed the game to the audience. The game developer noted that "The Division" alpha test is exclusive to Xbox One users who pre-ordered the game and has been chosen on "as needed basis".

The alpha test version of the game will be 23.2 GB and will be available worldwide except Japan and China. "This means the moment you and other players sign into the game, you'll be giving us valuable insight into how our infrastructure performs under pressure that we can't replicate internally or at a tradeshow", explained the game developer in a blog post. As for the game's beta test, it was originally set to happen this month.

The Division is now slated for a release in March 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Before fans could also be concerned about "Tom Clancy's The Division" being deferred altogether, the game studio also made it clear that while there will be a delay in the beta testing, the title will still be released on the previously designated date.

The Division is an upcoming massive multiplayer online third person shooter from Ubisoft. In response to the crisis, members of the Strategic Homeland Division are activated as a last attempt to restore order in the country.
